About the game
Dropdot Duel is a cheerful four-in-a-row game with cute animal friends. Drop your discs into the board and watch them tumble, bounce and plunk into place. Line up four of your color across, up and down or diagonally before your rival does, and block their sneaky threats on the way. A friendly danger glow shows young players where the rival could win next.
Climb the Tournament through the Meadow Cup, the Seaside Cup and the Starlight Cup: 9 rivals, each smarter than the last, special boards with stones and a bigger 8×7 grid, best-of-three matches, up to 3 stars per rival, trophies and coins. Play a quick game against the computer on Easy, Medium or Hard, or challenge a friend on the same device in 2 player mode. Unlock rivals as characters, buy disc styles and pick your favourite theme.
How to play
- Tap or click a column to drop your disc, or drag along the top of the board and let go.
- Line up 4 discs of your color across, up and down or diagonally to win.
- Block your rival when they have 3 in a row. Grey stones belong to nobody.
- Tournament: the first to win 2 games wins the match.
- Keyboard: ← → choose a column, ↓ / Space / Enter drop, 1–8 drop in a column, H hint, U undo, P pause.
Tips and tricks
- Take the middle column early. A disc in the centre is part of more possible lines of four than one on the edge, so it gives you the most ways to win.
- Before every drop, check whether your rival has 3 in a row with an open gap, and block it first. The danger glow, which you can turn on or off in Settings, lights up those spots.
- Build a double threat: two different places where you could finish four in a row. Your rival can only block one of them.
- Think about what lands on top. Dropping a disc right under the spot your rival needs can hand them the win on their next turn.
- Grey stones belong to nobody and break any line they sit in, so on the stone boards plan your lines around them.
- In the Tournament you get 3 hints per match but no undo. Keep your hints for tricky moments, and remember that the third star needs a 2–0 win without any hint.
