About the game
Cue Critters is a cosy cartoon pool game with real 2D billiard physics. Drag on the table to aim, follow the guide line that shows where the white ball and the ball you hit will go, add back spin, top spin or side spin and pull the power bar to shoot. Balls roll, spin and click like the real thing, and every pot gets sparkles and a cheer.
Climb the Career ladder against eight cute animal champions, from Nibbles the hamster in the Seed Café to Duchess Velvet in the Velvet Palace, in 8-ball and 9-ball matches that get tougher every step. Earn up to three stars per match (win, no fouls, pot three balls in one turn) and coins for new cues and table cloths. Play a quick match against an Easy, Medium or Hard computer, or challenge a friend on the same device in 2 player mode.
How to play
- Press the cue and move it around the ball to aim (or tap a ball). Use the fine aim wheel for tiny moves.
- Pull the power bar and let go to shoot.
- Tap the white ball button to add spin: low spin pulls the ball back, high spin rolls it on.
- 8-ball: pot your group (solids or stripes), then the black 8. 9-ball: always hit the lowest ball first and pot the 9 to win.
- After a foul your rival gets ball in hand and can place the white ball anywhere.
- Keyboard: ← → aim (Shift = slow), hold Space for power, W A S D spin, P pause.
Tips and tricks
- Trust the guide line: it shows where the white ball goes and which way the ball you hit will travel. Line that path up with the pocket first, then think about power.
- Don't blast every shot. A medium hit keeps the white ball near the middle of the table and leaves an easier next shot; use the fine aim wheel for thin cuts.
- Use spin to set up your next shot: low spin pulls the white ball back, high spin makes it roll on after contact, and side spin changes how it bounces off the cushions.
- In 8-ball, sink your whole group (solids 1–7 or stripes 9–15) before you go for the black 8. Potting the 8 too early loses the frame.
- In 9-ball you must always hit the lowest ball first, but potting the 9 on a legal shot wins straight away, so look for combinations that knock it in early.
- Every foul gives your rival ball in hand anywhere on the table. When there is no safe pot, a soft shot that touches the right ball is better than a risky one.

How do I get 3 stars in a Career match?
Each star has its own goal: win the match, make no fouls in the whole match, and pot 3 balls in one turn at least once.
