About the game

Grab the ball, drag toward the hoop and let go! Swishtopia is a cheerful basketball shooting game with real ball physics: the ball spins, clanks off the rim, bounces off the backboard and drops through a wobbly net. Land a clean swish for double points, try a bank shot for a bonus and chain baskets in a row until your ball catches fire.

Play 32 levels in four sunny worlds, from Daisy Park and Seashell Beach to the Lollipop Rooftops and the low-gravity Moonbeam Base, with moving and jumping hoops, gusty wind, bouncy jelly bumpers, spinning candy blockers and bonus bubbles. Win up to three stars per level, beat your best in Time Attack, and spend your coins on 11 fun balls, from a watermelon to a golden ball.

How to play

  • Drag from anywhere toward the hoop and let go: a longer drag means a stronger throw. The dotted line shows how the ball starts its flight.
  • Keyboard: arrow keys (or WASD) to aim and set the power, Space or Enter to throw, P to pause.
  • A swish (no rim) is worth double points, a bank shot off the board gives a bonus, and baskets in a row add a streak bonus.
  • Three swishes in a row (or five baskets) set the ball on fire: double points until you miss.
  • Make the number of baskets shown to pass a level; score more for 2 and 3 stars. In Time Attack every basket adds time.

Tips and tricks

  • Watch the dotted aim line while you drag: a longer drag means a stronger throw, so pull back a little less on close hoops.
  • Go for clean swishes. A ball that drops in without touching the rim is worth double points, and three swishes in a row set your ball on fire.
  • On fire, every basket scores double until you miss, so slow down and take safe shots while the flames last.
  • Bank shots off the backboard earn a bonus and are often the easiest way in when a candy blocker or jelly bumper guards the front of the hoop.
  • Wind pushes the ball the way the arrow points, and gusty wind changes strength, so throw when the arrow is steady.
  • On the Moonbeam Base gravity is much lower: use soft, short drags or the ball sails over the backboard.
  • In Time Attack you start with 45 seconds and every basket adds time (a swish adds more), so quick, clean shots keep the clock alive.

Frequently asked questions

Is Swishtopia free to play?

Yes. Swishtopia is a free online basketball game that runs in your browser on computer, tablet and phone, with no download or account.

How do I pass a level and get 3 stars?

Each level gives you a set number of balls and asks for a number of baskets. Reach it to pass, and score more points with swishes, bank shots, streaks and bubbles to earn 2 and 3 stars.

How do I unlock the other worlds?

Finishing a level opens the next one, and finishing the last level of a world opens the next world. The same worlds become the courts you can pick in Time Attack.

What are coins for?

You earn coins from your score in every game and spend them on new balls in the ball collection. The Golden Ball and Rainbow ball are not bought: they unlock at 60 and 90 stars.

What is a buzzer beater?

In Time Attack, if the clock hits zero while your last ball is still in the air and it goes in, you get a 20 point bonus.

Is my progress saved and is it good for kids?

Your stars, best scores, coins and balls are saved in the browser on this device. The game is cheerful and non-violent, with simple drag controls that suit kids and adults.
