About the game

Whirly Darts is a cheerful timing game: tap to throw a dart into a spinning target, one after another, until every dart is stuck. Sounds easy? The target speeds up, slows down, stops and even turns back, and if your dart touches one that is already stuck, it bounces off with a big BONK! Hit the shiny apples on the rim to collect them, chain quick hits for combos and squeeze your last darts into the tiniest gaps.

Travel through six bright worlds, from the Sunny Meadow and the Sweet Bakery to the Cheese Moon and the Toy Castle. Every fifth stage is a boss with a face and a tricky spin, like Grumbly Stump, Duke Donut or Queen Pizzarella. Beat them to win up to three stars per world, unlock special darts such as a carrot, a magic wand or a golden arrow, and buy more with your apples. After the sixth boss the game goes on forever, faster and trickier, so you can keep chasing your best score.

How to play

  • Tap the screen, click or press Space to throw a dart.
  • Stick all your darts (shown on the left) in the spinning target to clear the stage.
  • Don't hit a dart that is already stuck, or the run ends.
  • Hit the apples on the rim to collect them and spend them on new darts.
  • Every 5th stage is a boss: beat it to unlock a special dart and a new world.
  • Quick hits in a row give combo points. Press P to pause.

Tips and tricks

  • Don't throw on a rhythm. Watch the target for a moment, because it speeds up, slows down, stops and even spins backwards.
  • The dart always sticks at the bottom of the target, so watch the empty gaps rather than the darts and throw just before a gap reaches the bottom.
  • Throw your darts quickly one after another when the target is calm. Hits less than a moment apart build a combo of up to x5 points.
  • A dart that lands very close to another one without touching it is a Close call and earns 5 extra points.
  • Go for the apples on the rim. Hitting every apple in a world earns a star, and apples buy new darts and continues.
  • Bosses spin in tricky ways. Throw a few test darts while the spin is slow and save the last ones for when the boss pauses.
  • A continue costs apples and can be used once per run, but it costs you the No continues star for that world.
