About the game
Boingbean is a cute endless jumping game for kids and families. Your little jelly bean bounces all by itself: steer it left and right to hop from platform to platform up a giant magic beanstalk. Climb from the Beanstalk Garden through the Cloud Meadows, the Sunset Sky and the Starry Night all the way to Candy Space. Fly off one side of the sky and you pop back in on the other. The higher you go, the trickier it gets: moving platforms, crumbly cookies that break after one bounce, puff clouds that can't hold you and ghost platforms that fade in and out.
Bounce on springs and mushrooms, fly with a propeller hat or a jetpack and hide inside a bubble shield. Stomp the grumpy blobs, beetles and space saucers, but steer around the spiky ones! Every 100 m has a marker and your best height waits for you as a golden line. Finish missions to rank up, collect berries to unlock 8 beans and 4 themes, and try the Daily Climb, where everyone gets the same sky. Your progress is saved in your browser.
How to play
- The bean bounces by itself. Steer it to land on the platforms above.
- Phone or tablet: hold the left or right side of the screen. You can also slide your finger or tilt the device (Settings).
- Computer: arrow keys or A / D. P or Esc pauses.
- Go off one side of the screen to come back on the other.
- Land on monsters to stomp them. Don't bump into them from the side or from below, and never touch the spiky ones.
- Springs, mushrooms, propeller hats and jetpacks send you up fast; a bubble shield saves you from one bump.
- If you fall off the bottom of the screen, the climb is over. Try to beat your best height!
Tips and tricks
- Look up, not at your bean. Pick the next platform while you are still going up, then steer early: small, calm moves work better than holding a side all the time.
- Use the screen edges. If a platform is far to the right, it is often closer to go off the left side and pop in on the right.
- Crumbly cookies break after one bounce and dotted puff clouds can't hold you at all, so don't plan to come back down to them.
- Land on top of blobs, beetles and saucers to stomp them for an extra bounce. Spiky red puffballs can't be stomped: always steer around them.
- Grab bubble shields when you see them. A shield saves you from one bump, and the missions also reward you for using one.
- While a propeller hat or jetpack is working you can't be hurt and you knock monsters away, so steer towards the berries.
- The Daily Climb has the same platforms for everyone on that day, so a second try lets you plan your route.
