About the game
Lookalot Lane is a cozy hidden object game with Pim, a little raccoon detective with a big magnifying glass. Every place on the lane is a busy hand-painted picture full of things: a cottage kitchen, a playroom, a pirate ship, a coral reef, a space station and more. Look carefully, find the things on the list and tap them. Pinch or scroll to zoom in, drag to look around, and keep an eye out for the shy golden bug that hides in every hunt.
There are 60 levels in 15 places and 5 chapters, and every place mixes four kinds of puzzles: Hidden things, Spot the differences between two pictures, Odd one out (which one is not like the others?) and a special hunt with only shadows, only words or a flashlight in the dark. Win up to three stars per level, collect 71 stickers in your album, use the magnifier when you are stuck and come back every day for the Daily hunt. Works with touch, mouse and keyboard, and your progress is saved in the browser.
How to play
- Find the things from the list in the picture and tap or click them.
- Pinch with two fingers or use the mouse wheel to zoom, drag to look around, or use the + and − buttons.
- Spot the differences: tap what is different in either of the two pictures.
- Odd one out: tap the one thing that is not like the others, round after round.
- The magnifier shows you one thing; every level has 2 free hints. A wrong tap costs 5 seconds.
- Stars: solve the case, keep 40% of the time and use no hints.
Tips and tricks
- Read the whole list first, then sweep the picture from left to right instead of jumping around. Things are often half hidden next to objects of the same colour.
- Zoom in on busy corners. Small things like keys, spoons and ladybirds are much easier to spot when the picture is bigger.
- Tap only when you are sure. Every wrong tap costs 5 seconds, and three quick wrong taps make Pim slow you down for two seconds.
- Find things quickly one after the other: a find within 3.5 seconds of the last one gives you 3 extra seconds.
- In Spot the differences, compare one small area at a time. Changes can be a missing or added thing, another colour, a mirrored or bigger object, or a recoloured patch of the background, and they can be in either picture.
- In Odd one out, look at colour first, then at size, then at which way each thing is pointing.
- Save the magnifier for the end. Each level has 2 free hints, but a level finished without hints is the only way to get the third star.
