About the game
Wreckaroo is a cartoon crash-test game with real soft-body physics. Hold the gas, fire the rocket boost and send your car flying down crazy hills, off cliffs, over canyons and straight into crates, brick walls and concrete blocks. Every hit dents the body for good: bumpers, doors, hoods and even wheels fly off, the glass cracks and the smoke starts puffing, while Dent the crash-test dummy stays safe and smiling in his seat.
Pass 24 crash tests in four worlds, from Scrapyard Hills and Dusty Mesa to slippery Frosty Peaks and low-gravity Moon Park. Each test has its own goal (crumple the car, drive far, smash things or hit the target board) and up to three stars. Earn coins for every crash, upgrade the engine, rocket boost, launcher and crunch bonus, unlock seven vehicles from a tiny hatchback to a monster truck, a bus and a rocket car, and see how far you get on the endless Mega Hill.
How to play
- Gas: right pad, right half of the screen, → or D.
- Brake and reverse: left pad, left half of the screen, ← or A.
- Rocket boost: hold the rocket pad, ↑, W or Space (fuel is limited).
- In the air, Gas tilts the car back and Brake tilts it forward: land on your wheels or spin for flips.
- Meet the goal of a test for the first star; a high score gives the second and third.
- P or Esc pauses, R restarts the test.
Tips and tricks
- Use the rocket boost on a straight stretch or a ramp: boosting while the car points up sends it into the sky, boosting before a wall gives the biggest crunch.
- Damage comes from speed. For a crumple goal, keep the gas down all the way and save the boost for the last wall or the concrete block.
- For distance goals, keep the car level in the air with Gas and Brake and land on the wheels: a car that lands on its roof stops quickly.
- Every full spin in the air is a flip worth 150 points, and long jumps add air-time points, so the big kickers are great for score stars.
- On Frosty Peaks the snow is slippery: your wheels grip less, so start braking or tilting earlier. On Moon Park gravity is low and jumps last much longer.
- Spend your first coins on the Engine and the Rocket boost; the Crunch bonus pays off later, because it adds 15% more coins per level to every run.

Frequently asked questions
Is Wreckaroo free?
Yes. It is a free browser game for computer, tablet and phone, with no download and no account.
Is it violent?
No. The cars are cartoon toys and the driver is Dent, a crash-test dummy who always stays safe in his seat. Only the cars, crates and props get smashed.
How do I unlock new cars?
Buy them in the Garage with the coins you earn in every run. The monster truck, the bus and the rocket car also need 18, 30 and 45 stars.
What is Mega Hill?
An endless downhill track built as you drive, with jumps, canyons, walls and props. It opens after you pass test 3 and keeps your best distance.
How are coins counted?
You get one coin for every 10 points of your score, plus 15% per Crunch bonus level, and 50 extra coins for every new star.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Stars, coins, vehicles, upgrades and records are saved automatically in your browser on that device.
