About the game
Starpop Squadron is a cute vertical space shooter for kids and families. Pick a little animal pilot – Pip the bunny, Zip the kitten, Bubba the panda or Nova the fox – and fly through four colourful sectors of space. Your ship shoots by itself: you steer, dodge the glowing bullets and pop the grumpy space gang into confetti and stars. Jelly saucers swoop in formation, tin robots zap at you, spinning tops shoot rings, rocket fish dive after a warning and puffer aliens split in two.
Grab the colour-changing capsules to switch between the Spread, Laser and Homing weapons and power them up to level 5, and save your bombs for crowded moments. Every fifth stage ends with a big boss with readable attack patterns and three angry phases. Earn up to 3 stars per stage, unlock new ships with stars and spend your coins in the Hangar on hearts, damage, bombs, buddy drones, a bubble shield and more. 20 stages, 4 bosses, progress saved in your browser.
How to play
- Drag anywhere on the screen, move the mouse or use the arrow keys / WASD to fly. Hold Shift to fly slowly. A gamepad works too.
- Your ship shoots by itself. Only the glowing dot in its middle can be hit.
- Pop the flying gift boxes and grab the capsules: pink Spread, blue Laser, green Homing. Orange crystals add power.
- Tap the bomb button, press Space or right click to clear all the bullets.
- Red stripes warn you where a boss laser will strike; a dashed line shows where a rocket fish will dive.
- Stars unlock new ships; coins buy upgrades in the Hangar.
