About the game
Gulpaloo is a cheerful hole game in a cartoon toy city. You are a cute hungry hole with big eyes: slide along the streets and everything smaller than you falls in, from traffic cones and benches to cars, trees, houses and finally giant towers. Every bite makes you bigger, so you can swallow bigger and bigger things.
Each round lasts two minutes against funny rival holes. Grow fast, run away from bigger holes and swallow smaller ones to climb the leaderboard. Grab power-up bubbles (Zoom, Magnet, Mega hole and Shield), play 18 levels in Sunny Town, Sandy Bay and Frosty Peaks, earn stars and coins and unlock twelve colourful holes.
How to play
- Steer your hole with the mouse, the arrow keys or WASD. On phones and tablets, drag anywhere on the screen.
- Things smaller than your hole fall in and make it grow.
- A clearly bigger hole can swallow a smaller one: run from big holes, hunt small ones.
- Bubbles give powers: Zoom, Magnet, Mega hole and Shield.
- After two minutes the best score wins. Press P or Esc to pause.
Tips and tricks
- Spend the first seconds on the busy streets full of cones, people and benches. Growing early matters more than anything else in a two-minute round.
- Eat in quick chains: from the fifth bite in a row, every bite is worth 20% more points.
- A hole has to be clearly bigger, about a fifth larger, to swallow another one. Check sizes before you chase a rival, and steer away from anything your size or bigger.
- If you do get swallowed, you are back after 3 seconds with part of your size and all your points, so keep eating straight away.
- Use power-ups at the right moment: Magnet and Mega hole are best in crowded blocks, Zoom helps you escape or catch prey, and Shield lets you graze near big holes safely.
- On solo levels there are no rivals, only a share of the city to swallow. Plan a route through the densest blocks instead of zigzagging.
