About the game
Harbor Hoppers is an endless 3-lane runner through a sunny seaside town. Race along the tram rails of Seagull Harbor, the Fish Market and Lighthouse Point, swipe to change lanes, jump over fish crates, slide under fishing nets and dodge the harbor trams – or run up a striped ramp and hop across their roofs. Bump into a tram and Biscuit the harbor pup starts chasing you!
Grab golden coins and four power-ups: the Crab Magnet, the Rocket Kite, Spring Sneakers and the Star Bonus. Ride boards that save you from a crash, finish missions to rank up and raise your score multiplier, and find three rainbow shells every day for a treasure. Spend your coins on new runners – Otto, Penny, Rocco and Kiki – five boards and longer power-ups.
How to play
- Swipe left or right (or ← → / A D) to change lanes.
- Swipe up (↑, W or Space) to jump over crates.
- Swipe down (↓ or S) to slide under nets; in the air it drops you down fast.
- Dodge the trams or run up a ramp onto their roofs. Two bumps in a row and Biscuit catches you.
- Double-tap (or B) to ride a board: it saves you from one crash. P or Esc pauses.
Tips and tricks
- Look at the lane ahead, not at your runner. The game gets faster the farther you run, so decide early which way you will dodge the next crate, net or tram.
- When a tram blocks your lane, look for a striped ramp: running up it puts you on the tram roofs, where you can collect coins above the traffic. Roof landings also count for some missions.
- Swipe down while you are in the air to drop fast. It is the quickest way to land after a jump and slide straight under the next fishing net.
- Bumping into the side of a tram does not end the run, but Biscuit the pup chases you for about seven seconds. Play it safe until he gives up, because a second bump in that time means he catches you.
- Double-tap (or press B) to ride a board before a tricky stretch. While you ride, the board absorbs one crash, and with Rainbow Board you also score double points.
- Keep a few boards in stock. When you crash you get a second chance and can spend a board to keep running, up to two times per run.
- Finish the three missions shown in the Missions menu to rank up. Every rank raises your score multiplier, so completing missions is the fastest way to beat your best score.
