About the game
Snuggle Slide is a cosy number-merge puzzle in the spirit of 2048, starring the cutest critters. Swipe and every critter on the board slides the same way; when two twins bump into each other they snuggle into a bigger friend. A tiny droplet grows into a sprout, a chick, a bunny, a kitten, a fox cub, a panda and on and on, all the way up to the dragon, the phoenix and the legendary star whale.
Travel through 30 adventure levels in Daisy Meadow, Seashell Shore and Snowy Peaks: make the target critter before the moves run out, crack rocks and thaw frozen friends, and survive busy boards where two or three newcomers arrive after every move. Earn up to three stars and berries, spend them on Undo, Swap and Pop power-ups, fill your Snuggle Book, play endless Classic on 4×4, 5×5 and 6×6 boards, and come back for a new Daily challenge every day.
How to play
- Swipe, drag with the mouse or press the arrow keys / WASD: all critters slide in that direction.
- Two equal critters that meet snuggle into the next, bigger one (2 + 2 = 4, 4 + 4 = 8...).
- After every move a new baby critter appears, so don't let the board fill up.
- In Adventure, reach the goal shown at the top before the moves run out; moves to spare give more stars.
- Snuggle twins next to rocks to crack them and next to frozen critters to thaw them.
- Undo, Swap and Pop don't cost moves; buy more with berries. Esc or P pauses the game.
Tips and tricks
- Keep your biggest critter in a corner and build the next ones up beside it, like a staircase. Try not to swipe in the one direction that would pull it out of its corner.
- Watch the move counter in Adventure. You get 3 stars if at least 12% of your moves are left, 2 stars from 5%, so a few spare moves make the difference.
- Rocks need two snuggles right next to them: the first cracks the rock, the second breaks it. Plan merges along the rocks instead of hoping they happen by chance.
- Frozen critters can't move until you snuggle twins next to them. Thaw them early, because a frozen critter in the middle of the board blocks your rows.
- Undo, Swap and Pop don't cost a move. Save Pop for a rock or a lone critter stuck in a corner, and Swap for when two twins are just one square apart.
- On busy boards two or three newcomers arrive after every move, so the board fills fast. Make merges every turn and keep at least one row or column open.

Is Snuggle Slide like 2048?
Yes, it is a 2048-style number-merge puzzle: two equal critters merge into the next one, 2 + 2 = 4 and so on. You can turn the numbers on or off in Settings.
Is it free and does it work on phones?
Yes. It is a free online puzzle that runs in your browser on phones, tablets, Chromebooks and computers, with no download or account. Swipe on touch screens or use the arrow keys or WASD.
How do I unlock the bigger Classic boards?
4×4 is open from the start, 5×5 opens after Adventure level 10 and 6×6 after level 20.
What happens when I run out of moves?
The level ends, but if you were close you can buy 5 extra moves with berries, or simply try again.
How do I get more berries?
Win levels: every new star gives berries, and the Daily challenge gives a bonus too. Spend them in the Shop on Undo, Swap and Pop.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Stars, berries, power-ups, your Snuggle Book and Classic games are saved in the browser on your device.
