About the game

Bumblebloom is a cheerful match-3 puzzle in a garden full of smiling flowers and busy bees. Swap two neighbouring flowers to line up three or more of the same kind and watch them pop in a shower of petals. Match four to wake a Line Bee that clears a whole row or column, make an L or a T for a Pollen Puff that bursts everything around it, and line up five for a Rainbow Bloom that pops every flower of one colour. Swap two special flowers with each other for giant combos, and enjoy the cascades when new flowers fall into place.

Travel through 50 hand-made levels in five gardens, from the Sunny Meadow and the Lily Pond to the Blossom Orchard, Sunflower Hill and the Moonlit Garden. Every level has its own goal and a move limit: reach a score, collect flowers, clean up sticky honey, melt the morning frost, cut the thorns or help the ladybugs walk down to the grass. Moves you have left turn into bonus bees, and up to three stars wait on every level. Earn coins for two helpers, the Busy Bee and the Breeze, and unlock Sunny Rush, a 90-second score race. Works with swipes and taps on phones and with the mouse or keyboard on computers, and your progress is saved in the browser.

How to play

  • Swipe a flower towards its neighbour (or tap one, then the other) to swap them and line up 3 or more of the same kind.
  • Match 4 for a Line Bee, an L or T shape for a Pollen Puff and 5 in a row for a Rainbow Bloom. Swap two special flowers together for a bigger effect.
  • Finish the goal shown at the top before you run out of moves: points, flowers to collect, honey, frost, thorns or ladybugs.
  • Match on honey to clean it, match frozen flowers to melt them, match next to thorns to cut them, and clear the flowers under a ladybug.
  • Keyboard: arrow keys move the cursor, Enter picks a flower, an arrow key swaps it, P pauses.

Tips and tricks

  • Look at the bottom of the board first. Matches made low down make the flowers above fall, and those cascades often create extra matches for free.
  • Don't spend a 4-in-a-row right away if you can make 5 instead: a Rainbow Bloom is far stronger than a Line Bee.
  • Swap two special flowers into each other. A Line Bee with a Pollen Puff, or a Rainbow Bloom with any special, clears much more of the board than using them one by one.
  • Work on the goal, not just the score. Match right on top of honey, right next to thorns or on frozen flowers, because matches elsewhere won't clear them.
  • For ladybug levels, clear the column under each ladybug. A Line Bee that clears a column can bring it down very quickly.
  • Finish with moves to spare: every move you have left turns into a bonus bee, and the extra points can earn you the third star.
  • Keep coins for hard levels. The Busy Bee pops a single flower that blocks you, the Breeze shuffles the board, and when you run out of moves you can buy +5 moves once per try.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bumblebloom free?

Yes. Bumblebloom is a free online match-3 game that you play in your browser, with no download and no account.

How many levels are there?

There are 50 hand-made levels, 10 in each of the five gardens. A few of them are marked as hard levels on the map.

How do I get 3 stars?

Complete the level goals to win, then score as many points as you can. The star marks on the score bar show how much you need for the second and third star, and leftover moves add bonus points.

How do I unlock Sunny Rush?

Finish level 8. Sunny Rush is a 90-second race for the highest score, and it also gives coins.

What do I do when I run out of moves?

You can try the level again, or spend 50 coins once on +5 moves to finish the goal. Coins come from every level you complete.

Does it work on a phone and is my progress saved?

Yes. Swipe or tap on phones and tablets in portrait or landscape, or use the mouse or keyboard on a computer or Chromebook. Stars, coins and best scores are saved in your browser on that device.
